My Plans for First Touch FM –

Firstly, welcome to the blog! I would just like to take the opportunity to briefly explain who I am; what my plans for First Touch FM (FTFM) are; and invite you to join the team.

My name is Luke James, and I am Politics and International Studies student – originally from London. FTFM certainly isn’t my first venture into the Football Manager community. In 2014, I started my own Facebook page, growing it to over 2,000 likes in just over three years. Between 2014 and 2017, I was heavily involved in ‘The FM Addicts’ – a website that produced an incredible amount of high quality content considering how small our team was.

Partly due to the dissolution of ‘The FM Addicts’; mainly because of my studies, in 2017, I decided to pause my involvement in the FM community. Since 2017, I have sat my A-Levels and completed my first year at university.

I first entered the community when I was 14, and I’m really excited to be re-entering it now. My plan is to build FTFM into the natural evolution of the content that I have previously produced: stories, tactical guides and custom databases. The reason for my return is two-fold:

• First, I’ve missed making content, and, with the summer to play with, now seemed like the perfect time to dive back into the community.
• Second, I love writing. After university, I’m interested in pursuing a career in journalism; as a result, I plan to build a broad portfolio of content that I can be proud of.
